HAs anyone else noticed this on MN SN lately?

I have recenlty noticed a rise in non SN aprents making posts that might be OK on the main board but challenge the supportive reasons that SN was put as opt in in the first place.

Has anyone else noticed this?

If so will have a word with Mn about maybe emphasising why its opt in but if it is only 2/3 posts on threads i happen to be on then not

Not noticed anything-give us a clue!!

2shoes · 02/03/2010 15:27

i noticed it on the parking thread,

MiladyDeWinter · 02/03/2010 15:30

Parking thread yes, I thought I was on AIBU for a minute reading that.

I assumed it was just a one off, but concerning if there have been more.

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 15:56

There's a potential lady about today but not sure as yet: am trying to find out more.

parking thread was first place I noticed it.

tbih I mainly lurk on here now as imo it lost its cosy feel a while back.

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 15:59

It's the onne about hints for senco

seems to have attracted a few teachers I don't recognise (not the sn ones) who are peddling lea party line crap, if I put it bluntly

Ditto 2shoes

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 16:03

THIS IS THE SN BOARD
it worked on the parking thread....she left

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 16:04

Someone did that already 2shoes, and iI elaborated.

Will see if she left or not in time I guess.

I think it's the particular topics that attracted a non-SN parent audience.

2shoes · 02/03/2010 16:13

PreachyPeachyRantsALot I think we all need to reconnect, we need a good old chatty thread full of black humour

Greensleeves · 02/03/2010 16:16

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 16:21

tha person on that thread has only used that name twice and both on relateed threads.

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 17:29

I am thinking A) that poster came on via TES thread

and B) that searchability is the problem; it would be wonderful if for example SN threads could be in a different colour when found on a search? Anyone know how hard that'd be?

There was a fairly dire troll on a few nights ago but once it was reported HQ had it deleted in minutes. Wasnt going to raise it till I saw this thread but it does feel as if the defenses have been breached at the moment.

Fortheloveofeverythingholey · 03/03/2010 20:44

Well, I am new to the SN board and can truly say how grateful I am that there are kind knowledgeable people here willing to help.

Davros · 04/03/2010 11:22

2shoes, what about the incontinent teenager? Without wanting to be nasty to someone in genuine need, it sounds odd to me.
