Would you expect an independent SALT to do home visits?

I'm very disappointed that the only salt I could find for our area does not do home visits. Ds is painfully shy and I don't think he'll do much talking or interacting in an unfamiliar environment with an unfamiliar person.

Yes I would-mine did, but she lived near by-any chance of suggesting somewhere else your dc is familiar with or is it their office or nothing?
If so take tons of their stuff with you-turn it into your house?

Hi emkana! Haven't seen you on here in a while. How are you?

I think it depends on the SALT to be honest. Their business so they can run it how they like. We've seen three independent SALTs over the years. One did home visits (only), the other two did not.

some do and some don't I'm afraid, I was very fortunate that despite living 20 miles away Ds's indep SALT would do home visits, would tie it in with coming to the city for other reasons.
