Just finding half term really hard this timeaoruund.

DH doesn't get time off Uni and whereas with work he could book it, obv not withs tudying.

Just exhausted trying to keep on top of everything. The boys just drop what they have as they finishh: klast thing was a cup of cocoa and a pot of glitter paint. If I ask them not to I get verbal about how all the mums at school ahve cleaners (true, we are the token paupaers in a richa rea) and how our house is shit (its not,its a lovely terraced cottage) and it doesn't matter anyway.

Am sick of it, been told to effof by all of them and I even had torestrain the one with SEN yesterday as he was thumping me in the shopping centre. They'rebored and unlessdh is ehre (day off yesterday) we are stuck inwith TV then they don't sleepwell so over tired.

Have spent hours cleaningg and achieved very little that is visible. Every time I clean I find food that they ahev hoarded in soemstrange palce (eg today it was stale cupcakes inside the rike ds4uses in the summer),and I just can't find it all or move fast enough to get beyond disaster-management.

Even if I had a friend I couldn't invite them in,everything just stays where they letgo,it is even apparently too ahrd work fords1 to put the loo seat up or wuipe it after he uses the toilet. FGS.

No advice but just wanted to say I'm sorry it's so hard and to send you virtual chocolate/ vodka/ whatever you need. Half-term is a funny one. Too short for tensions of school to have disappeared and for the calmness of longer holidays to arrive and, therefore, too long!

It's draining, isn't it?

Can you apply for one of those volunteers I've heard mentioned on here? Home start?

Peachy, despite all you have written, I bet yours is a palace compared to mine. At least you've found the cupcake

heQet we're not in a HS area, and tbh I used to work for them so I would feel a bit odd IYKWIM.

In a fewmonths DH will be done for the year and ahve a few months off (or at elast working from home which is far easier), and we will have a freat big clear out and redecorate. But for now it'sjust constant- ds4 at this very moment is sat thorwing his food of his palte (DH is with him) which is what he does at every single meal unless its his 3 acceptable foods.

Normally I like half term, but we spent all the last week in meetings and the lot so no time toprepare; seem to have appt onslaught on again atm

Lou,sadly I bet it isn't. it'sclean now as in germ free but tehe'sabout 2 years ofSN filing for 3 kids to be done in pileseverywhere and nowhere for it to go. This place is a storage free zone, and as its old its all nooks and add-ons so hard to get a clear space foranything IYKWIM.

DH is working (we added it up earlier) an 80 hrw eek with Uni and work, and has just been given 4 essays to do,so it can't be getting easier for a while.

Stillplenty of fioling for you though TC, I am so bad at that I amactually cionsidering making myself some TEACCH style prompt cards totry and stopme abandoning piles of paperwork on any available surface. Would be a good start, I have to keep digging the keyboard out as I type
