Dd2 appears to having daydreams - ones in which she blanks out & walks. Today Daddy (she's staying with him a few days) says there was a different one where she was watching TV and her head slumped onto her chest, she didn't respond to him talking or shaking her shoulder. He said she was definitely "out". This blows my hope that maybe it is all just daydreaming and not really absence seizures .
So, i rang hospital to chase up her appointment - the GP had refered her to paediatrics 10 days ago.
There is no record of any referal.
Rang admin at the GP, they said it had been sent. The doctor will be informed tomorrow to find out what's happened to it.
Bum.
I've been so preoccupied with dd1's problems and (ex) partner's problems that I've missed focusing on dd2 and now she might be ill and I just haven't been paying attention. I'm so angry with myself. I find it so hard to accept something might be wrong with dd2 - not her, please, not her

10 days isnt long for referrals to make it to specialist, might be in someones intray so please dont beat yourself up about this. I hope shes ok, and you get something sorted asap

Don't beat yourself up. How old is she? Absence seizures are hard to spot and often aren't picked up until school age.
