as you know we have had lots of problems with ds pooing holding it in until really constipated rather than sitting on toilet and just going [always goes in pull up]

we started a poo chart so when he goes on the toilet he gets smiley face and works towards 10 faces to get a prize of going to the game shop and choosing either ds game or wii game we with a lot of hard work kicking and screaming got to 10 and he got his prize although most of the time it was shear hell getting him to stay on toilet and poo

anyway sitting here watching judge Judy i heard mummy , mummy
so i called out yes and he said ive done a poo me thinking goodness his done it in his pants but no he was on the toilet and had done a big poo

i am the proudest mummy he actually went with no force no constant where will you go if you need a poo,
poo's dont like being held in bellies etc

he actually got himself in there and done a poo fingers crossed he will continue to do so

sorry really needed to just tell someone who wont think well his nearly 5 he should be doing this already lol dp working nights cant get him to share the proud news

Well done Bubbaboy! Thats great!

It took us a long time to get dd1 to poo on the toilet, we also used a chart but with no success and then one day out of the blue she just did it .

YAY bubblaboy!! I remember how I felt when DD first did that!! The pride is a big big part of cracking it I think, as he's now realised he can do it on the loo IYSWIM. And another YAY! just for luck!!

CardyMow · 08/02/2010 23:41

P.S. could you let him chose some really nice 'big boy' pants with his favourite cartoon character on, as I found with DD that once she had got the idea and done it once herself, that she really was pleased with having big girl knickers and wanted to keep them clean.

bubblagirl · 09/02/2010 07:47

he already has his pants as the weeing issue has been fine but it was pooing we had problem with maybe i should have gone for new pants would have been cheaper than a wii game lol

thanks all his still pleased with him self so lets hope when he next needs to go i dont have a lethargic in pain boy i want to hear "mummy i done a poo all by my own
