. its called a "tap to talk" , its a "game" for the nintendo ds/dsi that turns the ds into a comunication board. .
Has anyone got one? ive just ordered one for dd4 , she`s just starting to be verbal (at 4) and i think it will help her along, but would be great for any kids who are non-verbal too.
the best thing is it can be adjusted to suit the child.... you load up what you want on it , but it comes with a basic load of pictures/words already set in.
im so excited - dd4 has shown intrest in her brothers ds game , she likes the little pen thingy.
you can also get a laptop version. sorry for waffleing on , just excited .

i ordered through amazon.
is $99 . - bit pricey , but a hellava lot cheaper than a specialist talking board. you get the software key and tech support for a year and can upgrade . there are 3 versions . single child use, multi child use and proffesional use(for salts ect).

I'll try the emulator online and see - DS1 is fine at learning words and phrases IRL but it's more the stitching it all together that is weak - I'll see what it's like
