Anyone want to recommend some books for me re autism and kids?

I have borrowed 2 books from the Cerebra library.
Firstly, autism for dummies which I think is really good and covers a lot of different areas at a fairly basic level.
Secondly, why does Chris do that. I cant really get into it. Very dry and threw me at the first hurdle (aspergers=speech delay which I started a thread about).
Has anyone else read any good books lately and care to recommend on here? I am eyeing up the book thats called 10 things your child with ASD wished you knew or something along those lines. Anyone read it?

Published last year, A Practical Guide to Autism by Fred Volkmar is my current favourite. Volkmar was the lead writer for the definition of ASD in the DSM-IV, and is a big cheese at Yale. He really knows his stuff. It's very thorough and gives plenty of references to other books at the end of each chapter

I've recently found 'Engaging Autsim' by Stanely Greenspan really good. An easy read - with some good advice on managing 'interesting' situations that my DD1 often presents me with! Also some interesting thoughts of speech - which is our difficult area.

I'm still looking for some books with help/advice/top tips on echolalia - so if anyone has ideas please feel free to fling them this way!
