I have been trying to teach my DD (11.9yo) to do her laces up since she was 3yo. Today, using the double bunny ears method the OT showed us when she was 7yo....SHE'S DONE IT!!!!! My lovely girly can do her laces!!! . I'm so proud of her. She actually amnaged one, then did the other. She's proud of herself as well!!!

Is the bunny ears method the one where you start with two loops to do a bow, rather than a knot then a bow? If it is, a friend of my family taught me to tie shoes like that and I still do it now! My problem was I'm the only lefty in the family and could not grasp doing it when right handed people showed me!

, yes she's a lefty with muscle problems and GDD, so it's a major aceivement, and yes, that's the method.

She did it again on the way home from soft play party hell. So twice in one day. So she really HAS got it. Only problem is that now she's busy compiling a wish list of all the trainers with laces that she wants for her birthday in March...
