I'm having one of those days (rant)

Just need to rant really .

Dd2 decided not to drink her bed time drink last nights which contained Melitonin, silly me forgot to get rid of it so she drank it this morning.

Dd1 woke up at 4am moaning that her ankles hurt, her ankles were red hot and dd1 had a very high temp, finally got her back to sleep and she woke up at 6.30 with a snotty nose saying 'can i stay home today mummy' and 'can i have a biscuit?' .

So i now have dd1 home (with a runny nose and slight temp), she says her ankles are ok but only because i threatened to take her to the GP. Dd2 went to nursery yawning and looking very sleepy, i feel ill and tired and i have a huge pile or ironing to do .

And to top it all off i have to take dd2 for her 3.5 year check at 2.30 and will have to take dd1 with me. I can't cancel it as i have done this twice already.

I just want to curl up and sleep .

You poor thing. I hate it when you have to drag the ill one around with you.. It is so stressful. Just let her stay in her pjs and when you have to go out, if you can, just warp a coat and blanket around her. Saves the sttress of changing her. Can you ring the surgery and say you have a below par child in tow so it would be great if they could see you as promptly as possible

Now, put the DVD on, let her watch what she wants, have coffee and choc biccie and leave the ironing. It always takes less time than you think too do chores so do it later or share with dh!!

I think i will leave the ironing until tomorrow, its dh's busy week at work (this happens once a month) so he's doing 12 hour shifts up until sat and wont be able to help out at home. Typical that dd1 gets ill this week .

Dd1 isn't too bad, she's sat at the table doing colouring, slight temp but looks really pale, hopefully she will be well enough for school tomorrow.

Going to make myself a coffee now and relax before i go and get dd2 from nursery (fingers crossed she doesnt come down with dd1's cold).

My two are always ill with one thing or another. I do sympathise. You never seem to get a running jump at anything!

Good luck x
