Help me decide who best needs the sponsorship...

Am toying with the idea of doing a sponsored weight loss

It would really motivate me and best of all raise money for a well deserved charity. Bearing in mind my little boy has ASD traits obviously I am thinking of going down that route but am really open to any well deserving under funded charities that are involved in SN for children. Am based in West Sussex.

If it were you, who would you choose? Thanks

Well barmymummy we are raising funds for my wee boy Jack he is 2.10 years, and has very rare genetic disorder, cant sit, walk or talk, and has svere epilepsy, seizures every day, looking down autism route, but apparently he is too young for a diagnosis, we are fundraising to get him equipment, he isn't a registered charity... but we are hoping to do so soon, he has a bank account hwever and his fund name is "Jack's Journey" will put a wee link to his bebo page in a mo xx

local children's hospice? mencap? or if there's any local charity that runs days out etc for kids with SN?

mysonben · 03/01/2010 19:29

Bibic would be a good one, they see children with many sn including asd.

Great idea Barmy! I'll be cheering you on! But you are not big though! I should join you on the diet!

grumpyoldeeyore · 03/01/2010 19:47

you could contact your local branch NAS and see if they are raising money for anything eg social group for asd etc

Epilepsy Action? They have helped me no end, and no-one ever seems to do anything for them?

Do you want the money to go directly to support a family/families? - Or do you want to fund something political like an early intervention lobbying group?
