32 mile round trip in the snow, and I have never driven in proper snow before.

hope all goes well, 2shoes.

It's all very well the advice being essential travel only - there are some things that just have to be done...

let us know when you're back ok

FabIsGettingReadyForXmas · 18/12/2009 09:25

Be careful

Take a phone, drinks, food, blankets.

Let us know when you are home safely.

Oo, not a journey I'd like to make. Hope you get there and back safely. Can't they keep her there until the snow melts a bit?

I hope it all went well in this weather.

Perhaps you should change your name to SantaWears2SnowShoes.

silverfrog · 18/12/2009 11:43

glad all well, 2shoes.

I did feel for you - my friend who lives across the road form your dd's school said the snow was really piling up last night

SantaWears2SnowShoes · 18/12/2009 11:46

it is a winter wonderland there, on boy went out in his powered chair and got stuck.
dh decided I should turn round in the car park, yes IO had to be dug out!!!

FabIsGettingReadyForXmas · 18/12/2009 11:46

Glad you are home safe.

We are snowed in.

meltedmincepies · 18/12/2009 12:37

You lucky things!!!

My dc's are praying for snow - I am dreading the pushing-a-wheelchair-through-the-slush bit.

FabIsGettingReadyForXmas · 18/12/2009 12:50

Not so lucky with DH having to find a way to get my medicines but the kids love it.

donkeyderby · 18/12/2009 16:20

Funny you can get all the way over to collect DD but respite staff in the centre of town can't get to respite home also in the centre of town. Respite cacelled, school cancelled. I hate snow

SantaWears2SnowShoes · 18/12/2009 16:59

madness, but of course the snow mean respite isn't needed
the roads in town were clear, it was only the ones just up the hill from lewes prison that were a bit nasty
