so the girl in question is 17. has the mental age of about 6.

her bday was yesterday - i forgot.

to give you an idea her fave prezzie today was popcorn. she did ask me to buy her a watch but mum said that she wont have anything on her person for more than 5 mins.

her siblings are obviously teens too and they are often out - so multiplayer games not so good.

she is addicted to the tv - they have the best media package - so dvd redundant.

any ideas?

does she like books? maybe read to her
or story tapes, if so anything with a lot of repitition is always a winner.

mp3 player?

what's her favourite tv programme? any toy/game tie-ins available?

does she go to cinema (with family, obv!)? - tickets for film of her choice?

if music is a winner then there are karaoke dvd things, aren't there ?

or a digital photo frame - maybe a keyring one? to put fave images on a slideshow effect? some of the small keyring ones are quite reasonable. dd1 would enjoy that, I know.

Does she wear make up, have baths, jewellery?

Some girlie smellies, lip gloss or sparkly eyeshadow?

A nice top? My daughter is 11 and functions on a much younger level but still likes some age appropriate stuff like necklaces, body spray etc

An unbreakable mirror? You can get acrylic ones, then she can see herself with all the above make-up/sparkly stuff on?

i think some nice smellies - is the only thing i can get her really.

thanks for the thoughts
