Visited special Aspergers class yesterday at a comp

Wow! Wonderful place- only 8 kids across age group, proper workstations, support etc

LEA have said we have a case

TA and SENCO say they hope he gets it

SENCO at unit said he sounds perfectly suited to the unit,and although DS1 is only YR5 (transition meeting in the Spring) is calling school this week to assess

Still along way to goaswe know not yet who else will want the places but fingers crossed

Fingers crossed for you peachy. I wish we had some where like that near us, dd1's only 5 and doing well but i worry about her going up to high school.

I can remember feeling like this when I visited the ASD school DS2 attended last year.

AND the carer's support people are geting me an assessment, have to go to an open day next month to start it rolling
