Ds will be coming under school salt and we have it in his statement but its one visit a term and twice weekly of his salt program.Did try to argue with the Lea butthat was all the salt asked for in her statement.

So am considering getting private salt in so she can see ds regulry and can work together. Also when time come time for review she can give me better idear of what ds needs.

Ds is 4 and is non verbal with verbal and oral dyspraxia , also GDD

Can anyone recommend one in the Essex area

Well that's very encouraging. It's also a whole lot easier when you are working with a child who wants to communicate.

It osunds like he has many different speech and language challenges and it may well be impossible to address them all so you will need to prioritise. Augmentative high tech. communication could do that by helping your son to communicate more effectively but not (at this stage) getting too hung up on the verbal dyspraxia).

If you want the best UK based help for verbal dyspraxia the place to go is the Nuffield speech and hearing centre (is that what it's called). Why have they said they can't help you?

If you are willing to do most of the work yourself Nancy Kaufman is very good, US based, but her program is fairly easy to follow if your child imitates. She does distance supervision. It is quite different from the Nuffield system used in the UK though.

It might be something to do in combination with some sort of alternative system as moondog suggests.

Nancy Kaufman does come to the UK to do workshops btw occasionally btw.

Hi Ds salt sent copies of reports to nuffield and I had long conversation with them we have been doing their dyspraxia program daily for over a year and ds isnot making any progress at all the feel there is a lot more going on other than the dyspraxia and atm feel there is nothing more they can do to help.

Yes ds does imitate prety well .Think I am going to take moondogs advice and start demanding looking at alternative high tech communication to help ds while woking out where to go next .But will also look at Nancy Kaufman

Thank you both for replying
