Summer holiday places to go in Kent

Despite telling myself to have some time off in the school holidays I am working for most of the days.

Now I have the problem of trying to find places to go, does anyone know of any days out in Kent that is fairly cheap? I have a few thing in mind but I am working with one of the kids for about 18 days over the 6 weeks and I am sure to run out of things to do with him.

Thats a great help Busybeingmum, given me some things to think about. Shame about the ski center being on the Sunday as would have been perfect if in the week.

I forgot that you could visit Leeds castle as many times as you like, which is good as its a nice long walk just to get to the castle so is very appropriate for this particular mindee. I can also tag that on to swimming at Maidstone or the cinema shows for children with ASDs, once I find out when they are.

There are some bigger days out like Chessingtons planned but that costs quite a bit so am finding places to go for the bulk of the time to keep costs down (and mileage to keep SS happy ).

If you know of any trips for children with SN that would be useful too, I usually get to know of a few but haven't had time to contact my contacts

Thanks ladies. I have found several things to do, but unfortunatly they are organised through some of my employers and not for the general public. I will report if I find there is anything special going on which is for the general public.

Thanks for that Busybeingmum, not something I had thought about doing and most of my mindees are under 12. Will have to suggest it to the parents as we frequent the Stour center quite alot.
