Do you buy and end of year pressie for the transport people?

DDs are LOVELY.Trouble is there is the driver and assistant to take her there and different ones going back.

Seeing as I have already bought pressies for teacher and 2 TAs and a pressies for nt ds teacher and tA it is getting quite costly...was thinking of choccies...WWYD?

I used to when Ds was in sn provision. We had some terrible transport people then a lovely couple.
Can add up a bit so don't feel you have to go mad, we've done flowers, chocc or wine in the past and some times made up some home made sweets or given them something that ds, with my help had made especially for them.

I think they will be touched by anything your dd gives them.

I do get a little pressie for transport people but thankfully have the same ones both ways. I usually just get a sented candle or small plant, like you say there are so many to buy for it soon adds up. A friend of mine with Children in mainstream always buys a potluck lottery ticket & puts it in a thank you card which i think is a brill idea as well

I havea very tiny choccy treat (about£1 ) for them

am a great believer in tokens of thanks after last yearsround of collections / ta'setc almost topped £100

(3 of mine have lsa's etc- adds up!)

Ds likes plants so usually we pot up seedlings earlier in the year for ds to proudly hand out! This year all went a bit wrong (I was ill at potting up time!) so its either a baking session if I can face it tonight or bottles of wine for each driver. Raiding the local farm shop is a brilliant idea busy!

saintlydamemrsturnip · 15/07/2009 09:25

Yes because they are lovely and buy ds1 a xmas present each year. Usually just some chocs.

PheasantPlucker · 15/07/2009 09:31

We do, ours are really lovely

vjg13 · 15/07/2009 15:15

We do too! 2 taxi drivers and one escort £10 present each. They are fantastic, she has had the same ones for 2 years (and we've had some crap ones in the past). They also buy her gorgeous stuff for birthdays and xmas

busybeingmum do you then pretend you've made the cakes!

I have bought the driver and the carer for the morning trip, as they are always the same, whereas it's anyones game for the drop off in the afternoon. It's cost me a small fortune in presents this year!
