HE IS DOING STAR WARS

He was on TV earlier in week too

My DD (AS) just watched this, I told her a little boy with AS was going to be on, but her face lit up when he started to explain about AS, she then turned to me and said "wow he said it all". She was then jumping up and down on the sofa when the little girl got so close to beating him. Thanks so much RTKM, do you know when the final is btw?

I watched it with my ds, and pointed Andrew out and said "that boy has a condition called Aspergers, I bet he gets all his questions right".

My ds turned to me and said "what is Aspergers?" so I told him very simply - after pausing for a while (you know I can't even remember what I said but thought that it was stupid of me not to have a prepared answer!) he said "do I have it mummy?", so I said yes he did and he said "Oh cool!".

I was fighting back tears when he spoke about AS.

Choc - the FA cup final ran over (went to penalties after extra) I'm sure I saw a 'ticker' saying it would be shown tomorrow.........although I'm sure a MN'er will be quick to correct me if I'm wrong [smile

Yes, we did catch it - but ds lost interest before the general knowledge round and went to play. He wanted to know who won so I called him down. It was a shame Andrew didn't win but they were all brilliant.

Ds did remember that Andrew had Aspergers but didn't say anything about it today. It generally goes in one ear and out the other unless it's about Thomas or Pokemon!
