Had a very interesting first OT session for DS1.

Hypermobility in his wrists definitely affecting his writing as well as poor grip. They reccommended pencil grips. anyone point me at a good website to get some of these?

Suggested I get knife and fork with very big handles as he really can't seem to use a knife. Any ideas where I can find sets of these that aren't toddler size? Need big enough for a nearly 6 year old.

They also recommended I get one of the peanut shaped excerice balls. Any suggstions welcome.

Cheers,

BR

Sorry for the slow reply, been on a course all week.

Yes the OT did recommend using a lever arch file too. Will be chasing the SEN at school next week to see if she's got the report and what they are planning to do and when.

As far as school and cutlery is concerned, I suppose you are right. But if I ever get my backside in gear and fill in the DLA forms then I suppose this will cover expenses like this.

The ultra grip does look good. Will check if this is what the school will be using and order some if they are.

As always, thanks for your time and words of wisdom.

BR
