2shoes - how'd you get on today?

How did your visit go?

We're all fairly exhausted after a really intense day touring That College, and I have to say I was not as impressed as I'd hoped to be and I still can't visualise ds there (even though he'll be nearly 17 when he goes). However, I still have the day colleges to visit in the autumn which might be a bit of an eye-opener.

Glad I've started early as I think this is going to be a long job.

Sorry, thought you were going yesterday!
I am on TTR I just get really confused with it (and I'm on your Facebook)! I'll have a go at it later as I think your dd may be at my friend's daughter's school, so would be interested to know.

I know I have to look at the LEA options (and will do so in the autumn term) but IME their policy on inclusion just equals more exclusion to me. I can't bear to think that when they chuck him out of their system he will be very socially isolated. The LEA just think about one aspect - I am thinking about ds as the 25-yr-old man he'll be. I think ds is more comfortable in his disabled world. Oh FFS I don't know.

Ds is happy and secure for the time being (despite the anxiety problems), so I NEED to forget all this for a few months and enjoy the coming heatwave . Difficult tho.
