(my 1st ever mumsnet name was MrsForgetful...and it was my friends here that nicknamed me MrsF... and i loved it. To others the "F" word may be something else....but for me i am still FORGETFUL!!!!) busy
It really made me appreciate how lucky i am ... being in plaster made so many things difficult.
I carried on with a tapestry i started last year (when i was forced to vacate mye 'safe zone'...my kitchen...whilst it was being refitted... so i started the tapestry to keep me occupied whilst i was 'invaded'

then...when i had my home back to myself...the tapestry was forgotten...

so when i was in plaster...the tapestry came out again...

and guess what...it's back in the cupboard again!!! I keep trying to find the time to do it...byt i think i have designated it as my 'escape' from 'kitchen invaders' and 'imobility frustration' !!!

I have recently read Jodi Picoult's 'change of heart' but was quite heavy going! I need to read a book that I don't dwell on after I've finished it. Does that sound wierd?

We are going to centre parcs in a couple of weeks and if I get time to read (hahahahah) I would like something light hearted and fun. Maybe a chic lit, is that a sin on mumsnet?

slightlycrumpled · 18/05/2009 10:06

Sorry X posts with busybeingmum.

Maybe I'll take myself off to borders, have a starbucks and check out the chic lit section.

TotalChaos · 18/05/2009 10:09

yes, I've got some SN books from the library that I need to force myself to open

what about Wicked Whispers by Jessica Callan (one of the original 3am girls, full of sleb chitchat)...

or if you've not read it already, Chocolat by Joanne Harris.

Busy do be careful to pace yourself! Being in plaster must be really restriting Mrs F.
I have read some non sn books recently during my enforced rest - Ive just finished 'The coroner's lunch' (Colin Cotterill) which was not too taxing to read and gently interesting! (I have shelves of sn books too they are such hard work!)

slightlycrumpled · 18/05/2009 10:21

MsF we can still call you MrsF.
