I have seen some sad posts on this topic.
so I have to say this.
IMO the sn topice is a wonderful place, full of support and help. together we share the joy when something goes right and feel for each other when it goes wrong.
I am not part of the in crowd on here so miss a lot of threads, but I do feel this topic is made good by all our different personalities.
long may it be like this and long may we all continue to post.

With you there 2shoes. I love the diversity of the forum here, not specific to any particular type of SN, and very supportive to everyone. I agree that stopping posting is not beneficial to anyone!

RaggedRobin · 06/05/2009 21:33

wine! yes please! i like the cut of this thread's jib.

Here here.

I love the SN board,it has been very helpful to me. I love hearing about other people LO's regardless of their disability.

HelensMelons · 06/05/2009 22:06

Me too! I am frazzled (not sozzled) and an old bag as well!

Thank you 2 shoes x

Barmymummy · 06/05/2009 22:16

yep here here! Great board, XX

Sazisi · 06/05/2009 23:46

Well said 2shoes

this little corner of mumsnet has been a lifeline for me this year. The level of wisdom, knowledge and support here is amazing. And I love you all

monstermansmum · 07/05/2009 09:32

totally agree with 2shoes!!!! I miss most of the threads that seem to upset everyone. It seems a shame that everyone is falling out with eachother instead of it just being supportive. Hope eveyone keeps posting-I enjoy reading about everyones dc's.

Shells · 07/05/2009 09:36

Its totally wonderful and so much nicer than almost all of the rest of MN. Hope it stays that way.

BriocheDoree · 07/05/2009 09:56

Eek, I hardly ever venture out of the SN topic, except the Living Overseas one which is interesting. I get scared every time I look into AIBU .
Anyhoo, it's now morning so I'll raise my cup of tea to you, rather than glass of wine (although I did get the ingredients for mojito at the supermarket this evening - it's a holiday weekend here after all).
I love this place because it's where you feel you're not alone, and where else could you celebrate when your LO has just done something completely underwhelming to the world at large like walked, or said a word, or climbed the stairs, or pooed on the toilet

Davros · 07/05/2009 10:01

Or pooed on the stairs
Cuppa here too. Who ARE the in crowd these days? I usually miss most of it or don't connect "complementary" threads unless someone points it out and then, popcorn ready but I tend to speak with my mouth full of popcorn!

TotalChaos · 07/05/2009 10:08

yes, where else can you talk about poo and get helpful answers .

if anyone has a spare moment, could they look at bullet123's monday morning thread, she's not quite at official DX stage, but she had a ?3di (diagnostic questionnaire for ASD thingy) for him yesterday, and an ASD DX is on the cards, and it's a bit of a shock for her, particularly as she already has a DS1 with ASD as well.

coppertop · 07/05/2009 10:11

No SN thread is complete without at least one reference to poo.

The SN board is still my favourite even if I don't post as much as I used to. I hope that everyone who wants to will carry on posting.

lingle · 07/05/2009 10:57

Actually I'm the in-crowd - didn't you know?

I'm very good-looking on-line - quite intimidatingly so, and never forget my virtual sunglasses even in winter.

Seuss · 07/05/2009 11:11

I enjoy a good loiter in the background and have picked up a lot of useful info from this board. Usually too frazzled and/or sozzled to add too much of use anywhere, but raising my morning cuppa to you all!

(This is probably the only board where folks would understand my joy at ds eating a Mcdonalds chicken nugget and not suggest parenting classes.)

tibni · 07/05/2009 11:18

Don't post often but I too appreciate the SN board.

bullet123 · 07/05/2009 11:29

Thank you TotalChaos.
And I agree with 2shoes, this is a marvellous board.

pagwatch · 07/05/2009 12:11

I love the SN board. Every day I come and just have a read even if I can't/don't contribute.
I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I don't expect our experiences or opinions to be the same. But we have the same frame of reference and we should all be careful not to abuse that.
It is easy when life is tough to turn venting into displaced anger.
I find wine helps me with that. And shoe shopping. And eating ..well almost anything really.

PheasantPlucker · 07/05/2009 12:13

I love the SN corner, and am a bit addicted to it and to you all..... Thanks!

RaggedRobin · 07/05/2009 22:32

mojitos! now you're talking brioche!
