My friends son is now 11 and has just discovered "bits" on his body!! Has anyone bought or found a book that would be helpful for explaining things to a child with autism? Thanks

The Family Planning Association do a number of leaflets, possibly a DVD. www.fpa.org.uk or their helpline 0845 122 8690 (9am - 6pm Mon - Frd). Check if they do something specific for learning disability.

Someone else will hopefully be along shortly with more or better info Lainey!

The book 'Taking care of myself' by Mary Wrobel, might be an idea? It's a workbook so you can explain things together. Available through all the usual places e.g. National Autistic Society etc.
