Some of you may already have seen this but I've just ordered it www.thetransporters.com/index.html. It was developed by Simon Baron Cohen at Cambridge University. Worth a bash (or £30!!) I feel.

My DS used this in school. It looked really odd to me, even a bit scary, but DS seemed to like it.
It was originally distributed for free, so £30 seems an awful lot of money.

Might they have been trialing it in your sons school? Says on website they tested and refined it with children with autism

I've got my old copy lurking somewhere.

Mine both seemed to like it but I agree that the faces on the trains were a bit creepy to me. I think it was used a couple of times but then mine just seemed to lose interest in it.

£30 sounds like a lot of money for what it is, unless they've added stuff on to it since they gave out the free version.

Nikos, we are ripped off everytime we need to buy anything with a 'SN' tag. . If it works for you then £30 will be money well spent, but it is just a DVD at the end of the day. Did you try the trial episode on the website? Local NAS branches may have a copy you can loan aswell

Quick check of ebay and there is one on buy it now for £22. Always worth a look if anyone else is considering getting a copy.

We had the freebie but my ds didn't like it - but then he isn't fussed on trains and was probably a bit old for it. £30 for a dvd seems a bit steep - I know it was well researched and made but still! Do you get anything to help you work with it or something?

Have you ordered it? l have a copy here we got a free one at work if you want it? Most of our families got given it for free.
