I live in nottinghamshire (a village not far from mansfield) and just wondered if anyone around this way or not that far away fancied arranging a meet up somewhere?

lol misscutandstick Yep - you and DH should be free, special needs £7.50, normal addmission £8.50. I would have been peeved if we'd have all paid full price

Thanks for the info re: White Post Jenny, thats somewhere else to add to the list of places to go

ohh jenny, didnt realise white post do offers too - always paid full . As a family we quite like it there, its about 45 mins away for us.

Have you been to the 'butterfly house' - thats quite nice too, just had loads of money spent on it. we got year passes so its just a pound each to visit.... actually just thinking, didnt ask about special rates there either GGRRRR!

jennybensmummy · 30/04/2009 08:14

i havent been to the butterfly house for about 18 months i think it is, so i guess thats before any changes? At white post just need to take dla letter, but in all honesty all the times weve been they dont read it that much so i bet anyone could get in even with a refusal letter!! we go there loads its only about 5 mins from me
phoenix that would be great if you need any help finding anywhere or want me to go have a look at anywhere to see how escape-proof it is let me know!!

misscutandstick, have you decided whether to brave the bank holiday crowds?

jennybensmummy · 04/05/2009 22:16

We eventually decided on WHitepost as it was absolutely chucking it down and its got more places in shelter - surprisingly enough it was empty! .

It was lovely actually, more relaxed than i anticipated (under the circumstances!). and we got in quite cheap too! bargain!!! 2 free carers, one under 2 (well hes small and they dont check anyway! ) and just paid for a few kids!

chat later - DH wants comp! XXX
