Off on holiday on monday, how can i help dd2 settle?

We are off the the Isle of White on monday, Dd1 (AS) will be fine as we can explain to her where we are going and she can remember going last year, Dd2 (hfa and non-verbal) doesn't have a clue as she doesn't really understand, last year she was 2.3, we didn't know then that she has ASD, we expected dd1 to get upset but it was dd2 who cried for 2 hours when we got there . I am worried this year she may be even worse, im not sure if she will remember it from last year but i doubt she will.

We are using PECS and picture cards with her, i was going to make her a photo book with photo's we took last year but i only had the photo's on our old PC which died a few months ago .

I have made her a symbol schedual to show that we are going in the car, on a boat and then to the holiday park. Is there anything else i can do to help her understand?

We will be taking some of her toys and puzzles to help her settle, im just so worried that the first day will be a night-mare .

Any advice greatfully recieved .

my dcs (not with AS, but all the same) have really loved this, looking at pictures beforehand: we found it was quite easy to find pictures online; Google Pictures is a good engine to use

Thank you all so much, i have found loads of pictures, my printer has now run out of ink so i need to find where dh has hidden it. Dd will love the pictures.
