This morning (yes im still spitting feathers over it) i had a knock on the door, it was fairly earlyish and still had my nightie on. Incidentally its a huge one and comes down past my knees, so im not a flasher!

Anyway, the 2 gentlemen who had called, all dressed up in suits and ties, breifcases and everything, held a book in their hands.

One began "have you heard about the promises?", "what promises" (i knew this was to be a mistake but i couldnt help it, it just blurted out). But i was to be saved - not spiritually, but by modesty. They stuttered and flapped and said that they must be going and come back when it was more convenient. but before they left they said:

"the promises from god, to put an end to war and suffering..." and this bit where i nearly hit him "...an end to disability" WHAT???

Does this mean that my child is not worthy??? that most of my children are not worthy??? as most of them have some kind of 'impairment', which actually only adds to their uniqueness (please dont get me wrong this is not a 'choice' thread - im working with what we have, not what 'could have been'), and it was at that point that my head was filled with anger, thinking of ALL the people who have given us such wonderful things who might be considered 'disabled', it takes someone different to think outside the box! Where would we be without these people? And every other 'disabled' person who has brought love, happiness and enrichment to all our lives???

Actually i thought "i really cant be arsed today, im going to save my energy for more worthwhile things - like my 'disabled' children who need me, like i need them"

And you let them walk away? They would have had to crawl away from my front door after receiving a severe lashing of my tongue. Am very for you.
