I've gone and done it again,..........I made an appointment at the foot clinic as not happy with the gait and wear on her shoes. Should have known it would be a complete waste of time. First she tried to tell me the wear was a normal pattern, when cleary if you walk on the outside of your shoe that would not be normal!! Then suggests she has a foot raiser aand a more supported shoe for her ankle .Explained that the shoes i had on her feet where the only ones i could find to fit. ( she has really flat fat feet, like little puddings bless her) Outcome ... I was to find a more supported shoe so they can then put in a foot raiser. Explained that even trainers to not fit as the velcro and lace pairs i have found do not fit her depth. SO HOW WOULD THEY BEABLE TO FIT IN A FOOT RAISER? Blank faces all round , she then gave me a number for ONE shop in the area which may beable to help.
I will try tomoz... WHY do i accept this response?? Do these people take lessons in making the outcome go in their favour??
I just lose heart and roll over.
That was until last Thursday... just going out the front door to get some chips for tea and she goes flying; trips over the door frame( of which there have been many discusions with the O/T over her safety) and falls really badly . nearly knocks out her front teeth and bruises all down one side of her body. Off to A&E again , lucklily no real damage as her baby teeth poppped back in her gum. But she looks like someone has beat her up and her confidence has dropped again. I'm goin to be bouncing big time tomorrow.
Does anyone in the lancashire area now if nhs will fund piedro boots? I am willing to pay for them myself as this cannot go on but could do with some back up.
Also does anyone know if there is a shop in the liverpool, preston, manchester area that actually stock piedro boots?

thanks for reading this rant

could you get referred to Alder Hey (my friend's dd who has bilateral talipes gets piedros from their orthotics). She also buys similar shoes from Austria (visits their a lot for family reasons) so presume there is nowhere in Liverpool to buy them. Might be worth you asking on the steps forum about buying piedros.
