How often do your Dc's see a SALT?

My ds is 2.10 and was refered to a SALT at his 2 year check, he is query ASD, he is totaly non-verbal. He has been seen by his SALT 4 times since last june, my DH is going mad over this and thinks he should be seen a lot more often as when we go we don't even get the next appointment through for about 2 months. I have tried telling him that is just the way it is, but I do agree with him, but to be honest I don't really know. Should I push for more or is that really it?

My son is 3.5 and I have had to nag to get him an appointment with salt. He does communicate but doesn't pronounce all sounds correctly. He eventually got an appointment in Feb but she won't see him now till June! She tried blaming the dummy (he only has it at night)and ignored me when I asked if frequent ear infections would effect his hearing and speech development. Then to cap it all worried that we wouldn't get any work done because a) he wasn't co operating (duh new environment with toys everywhere)and b) I am expecting again and would I be committed to helping him!

Mummy - what an old cow!

We have a lovely SALT and we see her once a month - ds is 2.2

Not sure if I could get another SALT, they are a bit thin on the ground round here. Will give it a go though!
