heart scan anyone know how long it takes?

dd now been told they need a heart scan i have no idea ifshe will lay long enough, but then i dont know how long it takes! will some one advise me please?

My DS has an echo which is a bit like a scan. It looks just like having a scan when you are pregnant, only the chest area. They click around taking measurements etc. It also shows colours. To show where the bloods pumping etc. I wouldn't worry about keeping still. My DS fights cos he doesn't want the jelly on also. It alos probably takes just about the same time as a scan depending on what they are looking for. An ECG however you need to be still for. They put small sticky pads on the chest, about 8 of them. You have to stay still until the trace is done. This can take ages.HTH.
