Hi

Does anyone know much about this? I know it is low muscle tone (as opposed to muscle strength) and that it can have many different causes.

It is one of the things the paediatrician pointed out at our appointment. She said it would make it hard for ds to ride a bike or even sit all day at school.

I just wondered whether anyone had any experiences of this and the benefits of physio

thanks

Hi!
Could you ladies please tell me how you explain to 'others', how your child has hypotonia but can kick like a mule?!

It seems to be that just as I am explaining my DDs low muscle tone - her delayed development in movement, how she cannot weight bear or crawl, etc - she will either give a fantastic leg wiggling show or throw a wobbly and kick-out really hard!

I did ask physio - but even she had trouble putting it into words!

Thx
