Can anyone help? Ds1 was asked to leave his school recently, and coinciding with this, we saw an ed pysch who has (after years of me badgering) finally diagnosed aspergers.

He has real difficulties with organisation, handwriting and socialising, but is very academic.

Can anyone recommend a school for him??? (can be private as well as state)

thanks

A friend of mine sends her son, who has Semantic Pragmatic Disorder, to St Bedes in Upper Dicker. She's very impressed with the SN department there.

pollyanna I will email my freind, she works in a local sn school, but she will most likely know about other non sn schools.

I have emailed her

We are going to look at St Bedes - have heard very good things about it, but we are still at the prep school level, and it is so far to travel to for us.

Thanks 2shoes. I am very willing to send him to a state school, but we don't have a statement for him [yet].

The Swann Centre at Falmer is for ASD children. They have a fantastic reputation and they protect them from the other kids at Falmer!

Not near you but look at Stanbridge Earls School in Hampshire - he would have to board though but it is lovely school.

Also there is a special school on south coast can't remember the name. Will think.
