Have just come back from watching DD play clarinet concert in school assembly! I blushed with pride watching and listening to her. At the end the lady that had been visiting the school to teach them told me how well she had done and how proud they were of DDs achievement . It feels so good to see her enjoy something at school, am thinking maybe I should encourage DD to continue learning clarinet outside school, but am wondering as to the cost???? With everything else that's going on with DD at the moment (statementing etc...) this morning has really cheered me up .

What a fab achievement! Treats all round?

Thank you all for sharing in my proud moment. DD finds it so hard to succeed in most academic tasks at school and it makes my heart pound to see her participate and actually enjoy an activity in school and to hear her being praised for it. Definitley deserves a treat tonight for us all. Will have to get my thinking cap on!

It's also good for her peers to see her succeed too - it may remind them that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses.
