just wanted to let you all know we had emergency appointment with pediatrician today as they have been so behind on reviews and obviously we having sleep problems

anyway she has given us melatonin although still need to get it as all pharmacies were shut and will need to be ordered in but at least we have it now and soon can start it and hopefully regulate a sleep pattern

my hair again has started to fall out probably from the stress again last lot only just grown back so back to ponytail for next 9 mths again that's if it grows back in that time

bubblaboy is better at home but not doing well at pre school at all by the sounds of things but hoping as pre school teacher came with me that the pediatrician will give good report for his statement and maybe we'll be lucky and get good amount of hours support

well just thought id fill you in as haven't had much time to be so active on here lately but all will look up now hopefully

we actually got him out to farm near us to feed the animals on sunday and we managed to sit in the cafe for lunch with no problems at all

its my b day on sunday on mothers day so i said maybe we'd try and tackle lunch again with maybe a visit to a boot sale i just love them lol

well i hope all is going well for everyone else i am thinking of you all and i am lurking but just felt i havent had any good advise to offer just lately xx

I hope bubblaboys eye gets better!

I have been alright, but really pleased to hear things are moving along for you. Bubbla, what sensory issues is your DS having? I am finding at the moment almost the main thing for DS (this week!) is sensory related stuff & far less ritual & far more imagination.

bubblagirl · 21/03/2009 13:01

hereidrawtheline,
at the moment its fingers in the mouth and licking everything his hands his arms etc

sound he seems to not like lots of noise, more hand flapping

sometimes not wanting his curtains opened too much light needing to play his console more to block out surroundings

there are others but as im not used to what could be a sensory issue im being told its down to sensory issues mainly the licking and fingers are in mouth all the time sucking his arm is another

porgie
not sure if the melatonin has a flavor he didnt seem to mind it going in they had to order the liquid for me as mainly capsules

i just tasted small bit it has a fruity tang apart from that no huge flavor to it just a tang of something pleasant could easily be added to something undetected especially if in a juice

well we just managed a walk to my brothers and back to take his b day card for tomorrow its a pain having a twin lol, bubbla boy seems to be on a good day today his eyes are not too bad its mainly at night where they stick together can only hope it'll clear soon

hereidrawtheline what sensory issues is your ds having? its so difficult when you don't understand the sensory stuff as i didn't even realize the constant finger sucking was sensory issue but have NOTICED IF HIS WORRYING HIS HAND DOESN'T MOVE FROM HIS MOUTH

whoops sorry not shouting keep hitting caps lock instead of a lol

oh I didnt know you were a twin! Happy Birthday in case I dont "see" you online for tomorrow! What bootsale are you going to? We arent a million miles away. We are going to Boreham.

DS is just so fragile with sensory stuff... light, sound, touch, all of it is like he is on hyperdrive. Even being looked at is agitating for him when he is feeling really raw. And the slightest bump is like a stab wound. Which is especially bad as he is the clumsiest child ever. I am actually off to start a thread about that to ask for advice.

bubblagirl · 22/03/2009 09:15

we often drive past that boot sale while im looking on longingly lol

i was thinking dunton boot sale but went out last night not sure im fit for anything now lol

thank you for b day wishes im sure i'll be spoilt today happy mothers day xx

bubblagirl · 25/03/2009 10:39

oh yes bless him my dp is not a romantic kind of person very shady with his feelings so was huge surprise when he said he felt i deserved it a day of fully relaxing etc it made me cry lol

bubblagirl · 25/03/2009 10:41

and maybe me and dp can have special time again were never alone to resume any love life so will be good to feel like a couple again too

BBgirl: when you think you hate your body, remember that you also know how to dance (don't you, you mentioned that somewhere). A lot of people with supposedly fab bodies can't move them to music. Erm, that was my positive thought for the decade

bubblagirl · 25/03/2009 11:34

thank you im now sitting with my head held high

lol

the belly will never be what is was but i make sure that exercise at home just wish i could sop eating so many crisps lol

i do a lot of walking just need to tone a bit more i tried my costume on this morning and wasn't as bad as i thought it would be lol

not sure if i can really dance lol but i enjoy it and can dance all night

well done you im not as committed as you by the sound of things lol i thought that was your new name change saw it still had tc and the other one had disappeared lol

ive only lost 5lb still eating crisps though my huge downfall

well done for the loss and for being committed i have toned my arms and hips but im sure my belly is beyond repair that doesn't ever seem to tone at least its at knicker line level so as long as that's covered i look toned lol

i'm looking forward to a day of being pampered npw though really wasnt happy to begin with now im dreaming of laying in bubbly sauna with no worries for a day and sweating in a steam room instead of a kitchen lol

oh and to be pampered instead of run ragged i cant wait

BBgirl - I thought of you this morning because there was a song I liked on the radio, I started to dance and DS said (in Italian, but that doesn't make it any better): 'mummy no dance', with a face as if to say, please don't, you're crap at it. As we say back in the old country, you bring up pigs, you waste the acorns...

sorry missed this thread bubbla - so i missed wishing you a happy birthday. so glad you are beginning to get help for bubbla boy's sleep. you must have been exhausted.

am amazed to hear so many fellow sufferers! my hair is also permanently tied in the dreaded cover-up ponytail at the moment. i'd love to get a haircut, but i need all the hair i can get at the moment! it doesn't help that ds and dd love to pul it out.

mine got really thin about a year after having ds, grew back when pregnant with dd and has gone really thin again. not planning any more pregnancies, so am hopeful to hear that kettlechip's grew back by itself. my mum wasted a lot of money on nourkrin tablets that se thought might help me, bu they didn't have any effect.

bubblagirl · 27/03/2009 09:42

oh ragged havent see you for ages, i had good relaxing birthday just looking forward to the rest to come my mum is baby sitting on the 3rd so me and dp can go to nando's restaurant thats just opened up in town

and of course my spa cant wait

yes my hair comes out in patches rather than thinning i just get fist size bald spots luckily last one grew back and the second one hasnt got so big so fingers crossed it wont its just a pain as near the last one which i have to try and keep the regrowth down or i look like a troll lol

i just found the minute i calmed down it seemed to fall out less very stress related

my aunt lost all her hair and can say she now has head of thick hair

all is getting slightly better here bubbla boy woke 3 times last night but chose to stay in his own bed which was great as usually his straight up and into make shift bed for him in my room

and he settled easily when he did wake im needing the sleep at moment as been feeling really run down and slightly ill

so it is nice to have the rest now

hope things are all going well your end? x
