Funding success for dd's tricycle.

I know the battle for funding can be pretty fraught. We were told by someone to avoid the big national charities and to contact some local ones. I sent a letter and photos of dd to the local Lion's club and the Round Table. We ended up getting £200 from the Lion's and £300 from the Round Table. Really good news as then we only needed to scrape together a bit to be able to fund the trike. Good luck to all of those who are seeking funding, I know what a trawl it is.

Ooh well done! We are meeting the tricycle rep on Monday and I think DD will be trying the kitten.

yes we had the rep round and he lovely, just hard explaining to dd why he had to take the trike back home with him. The kitten is lovely and was amazing, even though dd has very little strength in her leggies the position of style of the pedals meant she could have a go and actually did a bit of pedalling herself. I can't wait for her birthday at the end of the month to give it to her

I'm really looking forward to seeing DD try one out tomorrow: she doesn't show any enthusiasm for trikes and bikes, but I am sure it will take forever to organise funding anyway, so by the time it comes through she might be more interested!
