Not sure why you are posting this in Special Needs...
My first SN child didn't have reflux but my second NT did, and it was horrible, so I feel for you! He had silent reflux, eventually controlled by omeprazole (drug which makes stomach acid less acid - doesn't stop bringing up but makes it less painful).
Other things that helped...raising one end of his bed so he slept on a slope, never putting him down straight after a feed, burping him frequently...I expect you know all of this already.
He pretty much grew out of it when he could crawl.
Oh yes, and he was part BF'ed part fed on that thick formula, and cold water often seemed to sooth him.
