Sorry if faux pas
I would be so grateful to discuss things on there as I have friends who read this

Thankyou

Do you mean TimetoRant?. Not a member of TTR but I believe this to be a Yahoo based group to which you can ask for an invite on here.

springlamb · 10/03/2009 16:05

How very dare 2shoes go out or watch telly or catch a nap and not be available on mumsnet!
Can't find a link either.
Keep bumping this, she'll return I'm sure, with email addr.

What is the private board, I have never heard of that before!

Why not just temporarily change your name as I have? Which reminds me I must get around to changing mine back!

2shoes · 10/03/2009 16:17

I have no connection with a "private board" only a sn group.

JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 16:30

Thankyou and sorry, had to collect ds.

Honestly I have no idea what the proper terms are and hope I haven't done the wrong thing asking about it. I only know there is some other place to chat about SN because it was mentioned so much around Christmas in comparison to the place iyswim

I was hoping to join up
But I don't know how

I don't have MSN but am a Yahoo member if that helps

Thanks Attila

NTVL I have done that before but still been spotted, will do if necessary but thought I'd ask about alternative.

Or is this something I need to be vetted for?

Do you mean the website

www.he-special.org.uk

it has a link to an email list for parents with children with special needs who are home educated or may well be soon?

Sorry if this isn't what you are looking for.

JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 17:55

oh thsnks both of you

Tbh I have no idea

I just remember people talking about a SN board that was member only but not exclusive/strange like the M one

I'm not sure what it's called or where it is

Might be the S&L one tiny
in which case prob not completely relevant to what I was going to ask about

Thanks though

The SN group is open to people who post on the SN board afaik, though have only joined recently. I don't think it's cliquey at all, as I have disagreed with 2 shoes and others on the main board about stuff and yet wasn't blacklisted from the group, which I think is a measure of non-cliquiness!'

No Fio it's not

FFS

That is the thing I was talking about, above

Can I ask about it without being accused of stirring please? Why would I want to do that? I said strange for want of a better word. It was not meant to be an insult to anyone.

OP posts:
JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 18:02

Being half asleep I suppose I meant strange as in people don't understand it

That was all

No offence intended

And I included the whole quote without reading it properly as I wanted a context

I am not remotely interested in discussing cliquiness of either group

Fwiw

JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 18:09

Its Ok

I could have been more careful with my words

I didn't mean the people were anything, but the board was exclusive, bla bla

JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 18:21

Thanks 2shoes

I prob don't qualify then

Never mind. I'm sure I can find the answers on here without posting if I spend some time

OP posts:
2shoes · 10/03/2009 18:21

were you someone else before this name?

JaneSeymour · 10/03/2009 18:23

Yes it's a recent namechange but would rather not say who, I have a friend who reads here and always seems to find me

Getting a bit fed up with it

Have been here over 2 years now
I've only posted on SN a few times with concerns about ds

Don't worry I can see why you have to be careful
Sorry
