Hi, where can I find a list of private Speech therapists in my area?
and how much does private therapy cost?

MLL'S DD main problem is speech sound/verbal dyspraxia though, so as far as I'm aware Hanen does not work on pronunciation.

MLL - you don't need weekly sessions though - even if you just have an appointment every couple of months after the initial assessment, you can get on with whatever work has been left for you. and as busy being mum has said, they can be good for photocopies of useful materials.

Cerebra do SALT vouchers as a grant, worth about £500 I think. here there are certain terms and conditions though. worth having a look at.

we got a Cerebra voucher, it was really easy . Dd has DS and is seen very occasionally by the NHS SALT who doesn't have any experience with more complex issues. The school wrote a brief supporting letter and less than a week later the voucher arrived.

it covers everything btw - travel etc., adn the therapist invoices Cerebra directly. All you do is sort out the appointment.
