Hi IS, I know you are keen to know about TL for your DC so as promised thought I would give you a progress report.
We are now on day 8 of a 12 week program so still early days but already lots of changes. During the first 2 days there was very little change as expected, then for the following 3 days DD2 was horrendous. We had lots of screaming, she was incredibly sensitive to noises and basically everything upset her. She did also have a slight temperature on these days so the OT feels she may have had a mild virus but the TL intensified the discomfort. On day 5 we saw the OT and she confirmed everything we were going through was normal as the sensory system dis-regulated.
Since then we have seen massive changes, from day 4 onwards she has been so happy and turned into a real giggler and smiler. She has always been very placid and generally happy but she is literally changing before our eyes. Her eye contact has improved so much and is generally much more responsive and the interaction between DD1 and DD2 has greatly improved too. DD1 is now taking more notice of DD2 as she's getting more from her.
Her general interest in the world around is much better too, she's more aware of things.
I hope this helps, we are going to get peaks and troughs according to the OT but we are definately on a peak at the moment.
