Oh bless her!

My 13 week old has a v shape at the top of his bum going up his back. I think its quite cute. If you want, I can email you a pic (of the V, not his bum) to see if its the same? Or would that be a bit weird?

Why would they think the V shape has anything to do with a syndrome?

trace2 · 25/02/2009 20:15

I think doctors tend to look at every part of the body when trying to dx.

When ds2 was getting dx for asd, the doctor examined everywhere. ds2 was very unamused when doctor checked his groin, and has since been a nightmare when getting his nappy changed (except by me).

Hi! We had a visit to the genetics docs last week. Were very interested in our DD hands - apparently the 'puffiness' was very interesting?
Same as you - lots of photos.
I got the impression they photo everything so they dont miss anything.

hereidrawtheline · 25/02/2009 22:28

trace what is your DD being assessed for? What does a genetics doctor do? I mean I know about genetics in general but what are they looking for? Funnily enough DS does have a mark on the small of his back (I think) but I cant picture it now. Will look tomorrow.

Mitchell81 · 26/02/2009 09:33

DD also had photos taken when she was at a genetics clinic.

best of luck for yr appt next week - please try not to worry too much. Esay to say that I know. When I was told on the telephone they thought they'd found something with dd I badgered and badgered poor SHO for some clue. I insisted being told be what chromosome they were looking at - then went off and googled. really don't recommend doing this

Never had to endure this photographing bits to study lark - just had them witter on about her ' weak chin - possible dysmorphia' (amongst other stuff) whilst not really taking stock of the fact that I'm not blessed in the chin department (not quite a gail platt but could be relataive of )

Some other doctor said on another occaision dd has a guppy mouth.

hiya fio - maybe should have showed em my arse at this point
