what are the lovliest things people have said to you about your child?

(though t I had better do a positive thread also!!!)

A teacher at DD's school said that DD always brightens up her day, however she may be feeling when she comes into school, she always feels better after seeing DD

ds is always commented on by his lovely eyes and personality he really is just so cute even on a bad day

how bright and willing to learn how hard he tries to be like everyone else and do what there doing

how hard he tries to talk like everyone else and how much effort he makes in SALT

i dont need specifics im just pleased everyone can see how much he tries and it doesnt go unnoticed he really is just my bestest boy

my ds is such a social baby with a huge smile and personality, he has fan clubs everywhere, even his consultant. Even when I pop into the shop across the road without him at 9pm they ask 'where is he?'

DS2's EP is always telling me that she just melts when he smiles at her. She said that if he were hers, she would never be able to stay mad at him, as he has such an angelic face and that you can't help but love him.

the nursery group leader told me that the staff change their names on the board so they can work with ds

the girls in his class fight over who is his friend/girlfriend

when we are out at least 2 or 3 random people will stop in the street to talk to him and comment how handsome he is....some even give him money!

Our last babysitter said my daughter ran like a spring lamb! it makes a change from 'unusual gait' which is how professionals describe it.

was chuffed to bits when her music teacher commented on her'amazing sense of rhythm' Occurred to me that this was the first time that she had been praised generally - like she was actually good at something

About DS (ASD) - Such a lovely happy child, he's so loveable etc.

About DD (younger NT sibling) - NOTHING! Only once ever - Such a determined little girl. I think she's lovely actually.

more more! How happy / delightful she is. And this one...

walking towards big gang of youths. I was pushing dd is her wheelchair, she was making really strange sqwarking noises (bit excited!) I started to feel bit scared / apprehensive at what vile comments they were going to throw at us. When we walked past them, one piped up 'wow.. look at them wheels' (there's little led lights in front wheels) Then smiled at dd and said 'love your wheels!'

Made me really and a bit ashamed at myself for presuming they were going to be arsey (eek they always seemed to have someat to say to me for being 'different' er wearing crap tassley clothes as a teen!)

vjg yeah they still do that! always thought it was bizarre, as soon as they're gone you need to have a quick root around the pram before your baby chokes on a pound coin!

DD school say how much they miss her when she doesn't go. Also the first time the school managed to get DD into the pool, they had tears in their eyes because they were so happy for her.
DD is always coming home with drawings/paintings etc from kids in her Mainstream school from all different age groups. Makes me smile thinking how much they all like her.

My son is regularly praised about his ability to empathise with the elderly and his loveley manners. Last year our vicar asked the church elders of their experiences of seeing gods work in action. One of the elders said she had seen it when Wilfred helped her sister mover from one chair to another in a beetle drive!!
