Hi! Havent been on a while - I have myself been very ill, funnily enough partly due to DS's AS! Monday we had to walk home in the rain (him in the buggy) because a friend unexpectedly offered us a lift due to weather and he couldnt make the transition from buggy to car, he was hysterical so I didnt want to push it on him. So cue a few hours later and I am a gibbering wreck - I went to doctor Tuesday which is shocking in itself, if its for me I generally only go if I am knocking on deaths door but I truly felt it. I have a terrible chest infection & high fever. Then last night DS was sick and got very high fever - 103. Thankfully he seems better now. I am slowly rejoining the land of the living.

Anyway I am looking for some great books about every possible aspect of parenting HFA/AS child. Books for him, me, you name it. I am browsing the NAS shop but thought some personal recommendations would be nice too. Any suggestions? I tend to get lost in over scientific stuff though, fair warning! Some science is ok but too much & I space out!

I like Freeks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome by Luke Jackson (written when he was a teenager), well written and quite funny in parts. Also the Tony Attwood book (think it is just called Asperger Syndrome.

Hope you are feeling better soon

Thanks very much!! Any more recommendations still appreciated. I have now found an end to my temporary strength and have to go back to bed. Will check this later if I can bring myself to emerge! Are Jenny Mcarthy's books good & if so what order should you read in?
