Carers Allowance!!! have they fucked up somewhere???

i know i am claiming carers allowance- i did the form online. it has been backdated to 27/10/2008. i have just received a payment into my bank account of £90.10. surely thats not all of it??? thats 14 weeks back payment. please tell me there is more coming- thats not even two weeks worth. please reassure me that i will get the rest.....

Any chance this is just your latest payment and not the back-dated bit? (Sorry don't get carers only ds' DLA - can't remember how first payment was received)

ring them up. for reasons best known to themselves i get paid CA every 6 months which ends up as a ncie round sum but every so often there is a litle adjustment which will come through as £2.40 or something daft like that.

have just phoned them- they have fucked up somewhere. my carers allowance has been backdated to 27th oct, but they hadnt backdated the carers premium on the income support. they are going to sort it out , it looks like i should receive a payment of £385.70 by my working out.

Glad you got an answer. It's like getting blood out of a stone.....
