rereadind paed letter and diagnosis is developmental delay (delayed speech &language development and immature socail skills) What social skills is 1 2.6 years old supposed to have??? Is it not making eye contact?
Also noticed his weight is between 75th and 91st centile on the report. There must be alot of calories in bananas and bogeys - that must be his social skills he does like a good nose rummage and eating it (thinks it is the best game ever when you try and stop him)

thanks for sharing about the nose picking . seriously at 2.6 would imagine they are looking for waving, saying hello/goodbye, parallel play - i.e. interest in what others are doing.

thanks for that, was beginning to worry about other things he might not be doing. Doesnt sound to bad to me - he will wave bye but only after the person has gone out the door oh and when they say night night on cbeebies!!

Role play to some extent too , so using a toy tea set or kitchen, dressing up and so on
