I am always reading threads of mums who worry their dcs might be on the spectrum as I was one of them.

I found this article very refreshing!

the article says in summary that:

"Many children have mild autistic "symptoms" without ever having enough problems to attract specialist attention, say UK researchers"

I believe that we all have some traits and when you are a child they are more evident as you are not wise enough to mask them

I found this article really good -accords with what I feel about my DS. He is on a spectrum and his symptoms are variable across different areas of his life.

Agreed with the last section saying that peoples attitudes vary a lot to the child if they are seen to have a certain condition rather than just being labelled naughty for example!

This is the bit that makes me sad...

I thought the article was quite good therefore wanted to share it.

It made the penny drop for me on many things I have been having doubts about ds and other children.

There have been many threads in regards and I know many mums lurk around the SN topics as they have been questioning themselves about their dss about the same...
