My ds2 is going to officially stat at mainstream nursery tomorrow, just one afternoon a week, but its a start. He will still do his 5 mornings a week at his SN nursery, and the one afternoon at the nursery attached to my ds1 school. Really excited, nervous and anxious for him. His SN nursery nurse is going to go with him for the first session to help him and staff get to know each other, and also show them how to use his visual timetable.

Will let you all know how it goes.

ohh well done, hope he has a lovely day.

We have been adviced to put dd2 (asd) in mainstream for one day a week (she goes to a sn nursery 2 mornings a week).

HI

Am really interested in what support you have for your children in nurseries or SN settings etc.

I am given 2.5hrs of support a day for my DD and that involves our nursery getting a bit of money for one on one care for this amount of time. No specially trained people, not really much extra funding.
What do you get?
Who told you what you were entitled to as I'm sure we're not getting enough of what's available?
Thanks
