Thanks for this. I have been getting really disheartened by some of the crap comments elsewhere recently.

PS 'burden' OK ta, small seizure this morning but well enough for school, checked on her at lunchtime when I dropped dd2 at nursery and all is hunky dory.

mine is fine, went to school, took the hamster we were looking after for them back

Burden - isn't that the people that keep sending me endless catalogues of blonde smiling women with shaggy haired children by the sea?

My burden is currently eating me out of house and home. The other 'non burden' or should that be 'bundle of joy' (discuss) is covering the floor with lego having had extensive persuasion to eat and the burden that I married is keeping me awake with his SNORING

The burdens at school today have also been testing my angelic status. However, I polished my halo, did a natty frisbee maneouver (sp????) with it, flapped my wings a bit and they soon shut up.

Ah such joy amongst our 'happy throng'.

Flying St Scholastica (there's one for the Chalet School fans . . .)

This not-so-little burden has a job interview on Thursday, and if all goes well will once again not be a financial burden!

alfiemama · 12/01/2009 19:18

Ooh good luck Lollipop

My little burden has just licked a bean. I know not much to some, but to me and him its massive. kissed, then licked, got to upset to eat it, and didnt want to push him too much.

My burden is in positive mode this evening.
After 10 years of dodging, he went on a link to a mainstream (comprehensive) school today and joined one of their Year 9 science classes.
Said it was OK but boring as he'd already covered that part of the curriculum at his SN school, so he kept quiet and let the teacher teach the others.
He said: "Man, they got so many floors in that place" and "had to have a late lunch but Lyn saved me loads of chicken curry for when I got back".
Life's cool, man.

my burden has got head lice.
and so has her brother (my vote is for him as the carrier.)
dd1 seems to be clear.
oh joy. a week of bug busting x 3.
my burden loves being combed. not.
any saints got any tips for getting rid of headlice on kids with athetoid cp who can't sit still to get combed lol?

(and stop scratching you lot. it isn't funny.)

saint2shoes · 13/01/2009 11:46

mine is good, just been to her respite review and she made everyone lol.

madwoman - just chuck some hedrin on her, leave overnight, then rinse - and repeat a week later - it's meant to work without combing - it's not a scary pesticide type one - you can use on young kids - it works by coating and smothering the nits!

my burden/pickel is sat in the kitchen cupboard ,door shut playing with his car quite happily by squeals thats coming out but does get some strange looks when his sister annouces my brothers in a cupboard

coppertop · 13/01/2009 14:21

My two little burdens are both at school. I'm hoping that my younger burden has managed to stay dry - particularly as I've forgotten to send in some spare trousers and pants for him.

I'm obviously not cut out for sainthood. Otherwise I would be rushing to change my name to CopperHaloOnTop or something.

lou031205 · 13/01/2009 14:26

Mine went off to preschool very happy this morning, a friend picked her up - big girl. 2nd all day session.

I reserve the right to ammend my verdict after I pick her up in half an hour
