im not sure - easter was a bit crap, where it dawned on me that DS5 wasnt 'just a bit quiet', but actually had autism. Endless rounds of appts and tests since.

Unfortunately January doesnt look much rosier: DS4 has his eye op to remove an unknown substance lump , DS5 is having a GA (hes now showing signs of not only intolerances to lots of foods, but allergies to medications too ) to check his eyesight. And having to attend court to get the neighbours evicted for breech of their good behaviour bond.

Im hoping the year improves a bit after that.

2008 was OK for us - heading towards more time in hossie for dd in 2009 so not jumping for joy really.

Hope everyone has as happy and healthy 2009 as possible.

2008 was crap for me. I hope 2009 is even a touch better.

I had ds2's diagnosis of autism (a relief but equally upsetting), an awful march/april as FIL was both diagnosed with cancer and passed away and I was made redundant from my much loved job.

The only fantastic thing is my lovely ds3, who was born in November.

Happy 2009 everyone, may it be better for you.

Well , 2008 was worst year ever for me, Jack was diagnosed in Jan 08 with severe epilepsy at 10 months of age, he will be 2 on March 2nd nd ovr the mnths, since then we were told in snippets, he has damage to brain, hypotonia, hypermobility, global dev delay and nw we know it's all due to a nameless genetic disorder tht we might NEVER have a name for, and a year of being in n out of hosp, was also in on the 22nd dec and out late afternoon 23 dec as he had status seizure lasting 2 hours

All well nw n hoping stays tht way

Here's to a better year every1!!!!

And pls feel free to add to this thread

Hope it'll be a better year for my DS (7) with ASD who is starting a new school on Monday. He's had a terrible time since he moved up to juniors in Sept, so i really hope this move turns out well. The new school have several other children with ASD so plenty of experience, the class teacher seems really nice, and DS's lovely TA is going with him. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.
