I agree. Was wondering if slackrunner has downs child? My mother is about to give birth to downs baby, any advice?

KatyMac · 16/12/2008 21:08

Hopefully you mum is having a baby, who has Down's Syndrome.

KatyMac · 16/12/2008 21:10

Sorry I hate 'Downs baby/child'

It's a baby first who has a syndrome

alicecrail · 16/12/2008 21:19

sorry, didnt realise, my worry is that my mother isn't in a relationship, already has a child with autism and she isn't exactly healthy (smokes) wonder if she will cope. When isaw this thread, just wondered if anyone had anything encouraging to say on subject (am trying to find out as much as possible about downs)

KatyMac · 16/12/2008 21:30

While it's not ideal your (step?) sister or brother will be a tiny baby that needs all the help & support any other baby would irrespective of the diagnosis of Downs syndrome

I would post a thread on the special needs board to ask for specific help if I were you

alicecrail · 16/12/2008 21:31

Thanks for help, didn't even realise there was a special needs board

KatyMac · 16/12/2008 21:33

If you look here you may find threads to help you
