reaches into birthday wish bag, takes handful of wish dust, and sprinkles on computer a special birthday wish for speedy recoveries from me (tis my 19th today!).

needmorecoffee · 02/12/2008 17:18

tired after yesterdays A&E adventure and todays ultrasound of her kidneys. Can't stop looking at her soft tummy and imagining a tube. Feel a bit sick about it to be honest

trace2 · 02/12/2008 17:31

so sorry its so hard them having to go through all this (((hugs))

needmorecoffee · 02/12/2008 17:35

how's your dd now?

trace2 · 02/12/2008 17:39

still same, still waiting for next do. was going over her notes today her first eeg said infrequent sharp transients over temporal region? significance no frank epileptic discharges can you help me with that?

needmorecoffee · 02/12/2008 17:49

sharp spikes are one rung lower than eleptiform discharges. Means they saw spikes but didn't see obvious seizure activity.

trace2 · 02/12/2008 17:50

it was day after her do

needmorecoffee · 02/12/2008 18:03

2 down and 1 to go now?
Hope all is well with lottie & EJ and good vibes to NMC.
Am looking forward to updates and tales of happy DCs with amazing recoveries on the go.
Thinking of you all xx

needmorecoffee · 03/12/2008 15:22

gota txt from Lottie. it went well and her dd is in recovery.
am still freaking about dd's. Apparently her diet should have been asssessed so they could decide how mnay calories she will need through the tube as she will continure oral feeding.

After the op how long till the child can eat and drink?

trace2 · 03/12/2008 17:08

so glad all went well most on ward with chloe was eating a few days aftyer but as you know chloes hard work only just starting to eat little. sorry your having a hard time with allthis [hugs] they decided what chloes feeds after op

glitteryb6 · 03/12/2008 20:12

Great news, glad all's going well!

NMC, ds was eating and drinking the next day, just yoghurt, mash, soft stuff etc because of the fundo but i reckon it was about a week before he was eating totally solid food again.

he doesnt drink anywhere near as much as he used to tho as he gets 750mls thru his tube at the mo so isnt as thirsty.
