ds wants a cat apparently....opinions please!

ds tried out a new eye tracker device this morning, a dynavox eyemax, it wasnt that great, nowhere near as acurate as the mytobii one, and we found it quite hard to calibrate.....however if i held his head in a fixed position it did work for him but that kinda defeats the purpose eh?

anyhoo he kept flicking through the pages back to the same page of animals, always going to the cat, which is unusual for him, we were joking that maybe he wanted a cat now.

this went on for quite a while and the salt girl asked him if he was trying to tell his mum he wanted a cat for christmas.....he let out the clearest "yes" i have ever heard him say....now the nursery staff are winding me up that i'll need to get him a cat for christmas now cos thats what he asked for and he thinks its hilarious!!

not sure about a real life furry one so what do you think about this one......

We have the fur real one and sorry to say it's not very exciting.

We have two real ones too who can be a bit more exciting at times.

now you know I'd get that gorgeous boy anything he wants

ahh, how can you not get him one now... but be careful you could be creating a monster, don't put a picture of a Porsche in his book!

oh i know! i dont actually want to get a cat but as hes "asked" for one.......

one of the other mums said that if her ds could communicate to her what he wanted she'd get him anything, whatever it was, which did make me feel a bit guilty

i do maybe have a get out clause though, as xp had quite a bad cat allergy and i once took ds to the rehoming centre when he was small and he couldnt stop sneezing etc so a real cat might not even be an option...need to check it out first, otherwise i might need to stock up on the whiskas!
